If you're in search of authentic Mexican cuisine, look no further than Las Cazuelas de la Abuela, nestled in the heart of Alvaro Obregón, Mexico City. With a focus on traditional recipes from Puebla, this restaurant is a gem for culinary enthusiasts. Customers rave about the extraordinary flavors and the comforting taste of home-cooked meals. Oscar García Guízar highlights the excellent service, while María Ballesteros reaffirms its status as arguably the best Puebla restaurant in the city.
The extensive menu features dishes that embody the essence of Mexican gastronomy, with mouthwatering desserts that leave a lasting impression. While prices may be a tad higher, as noted by norma palma, the quality and authenticity make it worthwhile. Furthermore, the space offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all.
However, Ignacio Arellano raises an interesting point about the restaurant’s appeal predominantly attracting an older clientele. This suggests a need for innovation to stay relevant. Nonetheless, the love for traditional fare remains alive, as highlighted by Renée Hubard's enthusiasm for their home-style cooking. In summary, Las Cazuelas de la Abuela offers a delightful journey through Puebla’s culinary traditions, making it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors.

Excellent regional food from Puebla state and excellent service

Everything is delicious and the service is very good. They need to reinvent themselves because they only attract older people. One day they'll lose all their customers overnight because we're all going to die at the same time.

Located south of Mexico City. Extraordinary Mexican food place, particularly from Puebla. 100% traditional recipes with authentic and homemade flavor. The menu is extensive, the desserts are also magnificent. The service is also good. In my opinion, the best Puebla restaurant in the city. It has wheelchair access. Indoor and outdoor tables. Don't forget to visit it.

Delicious, good service, for those whose only goal is to eat like they're at home. It's not cheap, but it's one of those places where it doesn't hurt to pay.

The delicious food, a hidden place in Plaza San Jeronimo but very pleasant and welcoming, each visit a new dish that never ceases to surprise; dry noodles, chalupas, peneques, chicharron cream between several toothpicks, a huge pleasure every time.

Without a doubt, one of the best places to eat. It's a place that stands out from the crowd due to its tranquility and the exceptional quality of its food. Most of the diners are older, which gives it a traditional and relaxed feel. The service is classic, attentive, and very professional. The food deserves a special mention: everything I've tried has been incredible, but the burnt chipotle mole negro is simply outstanding, with a deep and unique flavor. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an authentic experience and cuisine that truly surprises.
